Hi ~suv,

Yes, I'm still working on Mac OS related Inkscape stuff. The best thing to do is detail the problem in Launchpad, then assign it to me (mjwybrow) or send me an email link.

It's certainly worth exploring... there might be a Quartz beta of Inkscape 0.48, but there is still going to be an X11 version for a little while.

Are you still working on this? I stumbled over the $PATH issue again (inkscape did not find my local 'gimp' script) and did some digging. X11.app (XQuartz 2.3.3) has the same problem to get the shell environment right and uses /bin/bash --login in the launcher (X11.app/Contents/MacOS/X11 - a shell script calling X11.bin). Inkscape ScriptExec seems to root on Platypus v1.8 or earlier. The current Platypus v4.2 (rewritten in Objective C and Cocoa since 2.0) allows to define the interpreter with parameters - I just tested to wrap a new LauncherApp using inkscape r21420 (calling Resources/script with /bin/bash --login) and had my ~/.bash_profile environment right in Resources/bin/inkscape. Is it worth exploring or is Inkscape with GTK+/Quartz right around the corner?

I could not find anything related to ScriptExec in launchpad, nor do I know if opening a wishlist bug report would be more correct than posting a comment here?

Marino, please post a bug report to the <a href="http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=93438&atid=604306" rel="nofollow">Inkscape Bug Tracker</a> with details of your problem, including Inkscape version number, as well as your OS X version, etc. Myself or someone else should be able to offer some help.

It all sounds nice but I just installed Inkscape and when I double click it I just launch X11 and see nothing else. I don't have Fink.
