Aykut, thank you! This worked fine on my PPC G5 with OS X 1058 and Safari 506. Now I can hear that "pling" again notifiying an e-mail when I stand in the kitchen busy cooking my dinner.

Julio,

You need to go to your Google Account Settings, edit Authorizing applications & sites, generate an application specific password and use that in the Notifier as your password.

Recently, I was asked to give my Gmail account more security, putting my cel number for verification by SMS message. Since then, my Google Notifier for Mac stopped working. Ii did not associated the facts. Today I decided to remove this phone number verification and everything returned. My Google Notifier and the cel phone access.

I hope it helps any one with the same problem.

Just fixed, you have to change your google account password to another one, and don't change back to original, then the bug will be fixed..

Thanks for this, I had to change my login credentials on my Google account in the end. No need for me to do in Safari, so long as they were changed it seemed to sort out my notifier for my work account (which is a hosted, paid for Google account).

Changing the credentials on this account was more fiddly than my personal account (that I can sign in and out of on google.com). I had to go into my gmail settings and click account and change the password there.

After digging through the Google forums and troubleshooting for the better part of an hour, this fixed my problem in two minutes. Thanks a bunch! I'll try to pass the word along.

My problem is still not fixed.

I even tried going into access control and gave google notifier access to my login/password for https://www.google.com.

Ditto Jay and John. It works with my secondary email but not my main one. This password problem extends to my blackberry and applemail as well as notifier. It's driving me crazy. I changed my password and everything stopped working despite updating keychains and the likes. I even changed it back and still to no avail. Any ideas?

People, this "fetch -2" thing is a REAL problem. I have it, and like Jay, cannot solve it for my main account. I have 3, 2 work fine, but my main, and most important account, does not.

I have installed, uninstalled, cleaned the cache, yada yada yada, to no avail. What in the Hell is going on?

I am amazed that the Google folks haven't solved this. It is a real problem, not just for me, but for many, many, MANY.

They just blow us off, and, for Google, that sucks. If IT were Microsoft, it would be normal, as that what we expect from them. But, GEEZ, not from Google. That bites!
